Lake Elmo is a city in Washington County, MN with a population of approximately 8,070. Much of the area is still farmland, but it’s likely that the city density will increase over the next 15 years due to a new city plan. The city is named for the nearby Lake of the same name.

The Lake Elmo Inn is an award-winning restaurant and event center in Lake Elmo.

The Lake Elmo Public Library was founded in 2012 after the Lake Elmo branch of the Washington County Library System was closed. Created by volunteers, the library serves the community by providing access to information educational and recreational materials.

Lake Elmo Park is made up of 2,165 acres with 80 percent of its acreage set aside for preservation and protection. Watch for pheasants, weasels, red fox, woodpeckers, cardinals, cottontail rabbits, squirrels, and white-tailed deer.
